I welcome you to Channel S (Sunshine Television Ltd.) with a deep sense of immense
Pride, profound gratitude, Appreciation and Responsibility.
As the Founder, Managing Director and
Chief Executive Officer of Channel S, I have had the privilege of witnessing an
extraordinary journey—from a visionary concept to a dynamic, technology-driven
and rapidly growing satellite television network in Bangladesh. Our journey has
been defined by perseverance, innovation, professionalism, courage and, above
all, an unwavering commitment to earning and preserving the trust of our
audience.
The story of Channel S began on 11
January 2015, when we commenced our journey as an IPTV platform with a
clear and ambitious vision: to build a media organization founded on truthful
reporting, responsible journalism, meaningful programming and public trust.
From the outset, we recognized that the responsibility of a media organization
extends far beyond informing people. The media must also educate, inspire,
empower and contribute constructively to society.
A defining milestone in our journey
came on 26 January 2022, when the Government of the People’s Republic of
Bangladesh granted Channel S its Satellite Television Broadcasting License.
This historic achievement marked the beginning of a new chapter, transforming
our vision into a full-fledged satellite television network and significantly
expanding our reach, capabilities and responsibilities. Since then, 26
January has been proudly observed as the Anniversary Day of Channel S—a day
to reflect on our achievements, celebrate our progress and renew our commitment
to the future.
Another landmark in our history was
the official inauguration of Channel S on 12 June 2024 at the National Press
Club Auditorium in Dhaka, graciously inaugurated virtually by His
Excellency MOHAMMED SHAHABUDDIN, Honorable President of the People’s Republic
of Bangladesh. His esteemed participation and inspiring message remain a
lasting source of encouragement for our organization and further reinforce our
determination to serve the nation with integrity, professionalism and
excellence.
From these humble beginnings, Channel
S has evolved into a modern, dynamic and technology-driven broadcasting
organization built upon the fundamental pillars of Credibility, Innovation, Professionalism
and Public trust. Today, we continue to strengthen our position in the
broadcasting industry while remaining committed to the highest standards of
journalism, production excellence, ethical broadcasting and technological
advancement.

broadcasting.
